Aimee heads to Bath to meet Team GB鈥檚 2018 bronze medallist, Laura Deas, who explains how she still enjoys the fear of skeleton and her unique start line routine.

With the Beijing winter games edging ever closer, it felt only right that she catches up with some of the athletes who are heading out to represent their nations. As a former professional snowboarder and two-time winter Olympian she knows just how it feels, so is buzzing to introduce you to some of Team GB鈥檚 finest as they prepare for their shot at Olympic gold, as well as some of the biggest international names from around the world.

In this episode Aimee headed to the University of Bath to meet skeleton athlete Laura Deas. Laura made her Olympic debut at the 2018 Pyeongchang games, bringing home a bronze and sharing the podium with her best mate Lizzy Yarnold who won the gold medal on what was an incredible result for Team GB.

GB has got such a rich history in the competition, medalling at the last five games and taking gold at the last three - so it's no wonder that it captures the attention of the nation every four years.

With Laura now the veteran of the team, and heading to her second games, Aimee looked to find out how she got into the sport, does she still get scared and her secrets to remaining so motivated.

In this podcast series Aimee is going to be taking these athletes for a one-mile walk, getting them out and about to chat everything from training plans, food and Olympic goals.
