Highway Code changes
An Essex cyclist, pedestrian and driver give their views on changes to the Highway Code, which aim to improve the safety of people walking, cycling and riding horses.
Some of the changes include pedestrians now having the right of way at junctions, cyclists can ride two-abreast, and people should use the 'Dutch Reach' method when opening their car door.
The changes come into force from 29 January 2022.
