Horse Sense Wirral: Call for volunteers and donations
Merseyside animal welfare charity, Horse Sense Wirral, say they are "on the brink of crisis" and have launched an urgent appeal to help raise critical funds.
Based in Thornton Hough, the organisation helps rescue ponies and horses by giving them a place to stay and recover.
The charity, which is run entirely by volunteers, is now operating above full capacity and has also seen a slump in January donations in the period after Christmas.
They say they desperately need donors to step in and gallop to its rescue.
Katy Davies is one on the volunteers who helps out at the centre.
