Aimee Fuller brings you the Winter Olympic Mile podcast on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Sounds. With the Beijing winter games under way, it felt only right that she catches up with some of the athletes who are heading out to represent their nations. As a former professional snowboarder and two-time winter Olympian she knows just how it feels, so is buzzing to introduce you to some of Team GB’s finest as they prepare for their shot at Olympic gold, as well as some of the biggest international names from around the world.
This time Aimee chats to two Team GB athletes, both with a great chance of medals out in Beijing.
Dave Ryding recently became Britain’s first Alpine ski racer to take a world cup gold at the start of 2022; in his own words though, did he peak too soon? Aimee discusses food, village life and aspirations going into his event.
Aimee is also joined by Brad Hall, who has had an incredible season piloting the GB sled in both the two and four-man disciplines. His performances have left them in the top 5 of the world rankings for both and he and his team are determined to get on that podium. He describes the daunting track, shows off his Team GB kit to Aimee and we meet his teammates in the apartment as well.
In this podcast series Aimee is going to be taking these athletes for a one-mile walk, getting them out and about to chat everything from training plans, food and Olympic goals.
