大象传媒 Bitesize - KS3 English - How to respond to poetry
In a poem, a writer uses language, form and structure to present an idea in a new way; the words on the page become a way to communicate between the poet鈥檚 mind and ours.
When reading poetry we interpret what it means to us. Nobody else will have exactly the same response as you.
Responding to poetry means writing your own personal thoughts and feelings about a poem.
