Russia's military launches an assault on several fronts; Nato says it was a pre-planned, cold-blooded invasion. A special report from our correspondent in the capital, Kyiv.
A country under attack, from east to west and north to south. The Russian President, Vladimir Putin, tries to claim their action was an act of self-defence. He鈥檚 warned Ukrainians to lay down their arms. Kyiv鈥檚 embattled president is appealing to the world to intervene. The Russian assault is from all directions 鈥� and a big concern is that Moscow's forces will be heading to the capital.
