As the manager of Mum's pharmacy moves on, son Andrew celebrates the little kindnesses that make a big difference
Andrew goes to the chemist's round the corner to pick up Carolyn's repeat prescriptions. The pharmacy manager mentions that he's been promoted and is moving on. It's a sad day, as Jamie has been really helpful. For many years he's given Andrew advice, helping him navigate the system as Carolyn's condition worsened. He's also made sure that, even with supply issues during the Covid crisis, Mum has always had what she needs. Later mobile hairdresser Elaine visits, prompting Andrew to reflect on the way she always treats Mum with respect. He celebrates the small kindnesses that make a big difference to Mum's life and to him. Mum and Me: The Dementia Diary was originally broadcast on 大象传媒 Radio Leeds.
