President of COP26 says 'Oh Yes! Net Zero' initiative launched in Hull could be a template for the rest of the UK to follow.
The President of COP26 says a net zero initiative launched by Reckitt Benckiser in Hull could be a template for the rest of the UK to follow. Alok Sharma MP was one of the speakers at the 'Oh Yes! Net Zero' event at the Reckitt Benckiser Science and Innovation Centre which aims to bring businesses, local government and the wider community together to help Hull lead the UK on its way to becoming carbon neutral. He spoke to 大象传媒 Political Reporter, Sarah Sanderson, after the launch and said: "I think it鈥檚 a really inspiring campaign and the great thing was that we had different parts of Hull coming together. We had the hospital representing the NHS trust, we had schools and the university and of course, importantly, businesses as well. Everyone coming together and saying that they want to play their part in getting to net zero by 2030. I think it鈥檚 a great initiative and I'm sure other cities and towns around the UK will look at this as well and see whether they can emulate it."
