How did people first realise that animals migrate?
Thanks to wildlife documentaries, it easy to take for granted that some animals migrate over thousands – or even hundreds of thousands - of miles every year. But just two hundred years ago, people had very different ideas about where some animals disappeared to for half the year. David Barrie, author of ‘Incredible Journeys’, tells CrowdScience presenter Anand Jagatia the bizarre tale of a stork that showed animal migration was real.
