Bin men in Rugby start strike action as Unite say they're amongst the lowest-paid public sector staff in the county
Refuse workers in Rugby have begun industrial action today in a row over pay.
The industrial action could last two weeks and affects street cleaners, bin lorry drivers and refuse collectors.
Zoe Mayou is from Unite the union which represnets the workers and told 大象传媒 CWR she's more than happy to meet council bosses and try to reach an agreement over pay.
Rugby Borough Council says it remains committed to maintaining an open, constructive dialogue with Unite while working to minimise the impact of any industrial action on our residents.
They also say they'll ensure residents remain informed of any disruption to services.
