'I'm thrilled Elon Musk has taken over Twitter'
The board of Twitter has agreed to a $44bn (拢34.5bn) takeover offer from the billionaire Elon Musk. After the news of the deal was announced, human rights groups raised concerns about hate speech on Twitter and the power it would give Musk, who is a self-described "free speech absolutist".
Retired Nigerian journalist Dr Kemi Olunloyo praises Elon Musk's approach to free speech and says that his approach to business and entrepreneurial flair appeals to young people in Nigeria. She believes the platform is a valuable outlet for people in Nigeria to express their opinions and dissatisfaction.
"I stand with Elon Musk - free speech is a 100 per cent thing."
