Gemma Steele travelled the world competing in road running and cross country competitions.

She was the 2014 gold medallist at the European Cross Country Championships and represented Great Britain internationally in cross country, road and track events.

But after her dad Phil lost his life to cancer late last year and Gemma says she struggled to get back on form.

All that changed on Sunday when she smashed the women's record for the Wymeswold Waddle, a five mile road race.
