Sexual exploitation: How big of a problem is this across Africa?

Poverty and the depletion of natural resources that mainly support food security for vulnerable populations are said to be the leading cause of transactional sex in developing countries. UNAIDS identifies it as among a cluster of behaviours and practices that increase adolescent girls’ and young women’s risk of contracting HIV in sub-Saharan Africa.
