MK people in Queen's Jubilee Pageant
Ten key workers from Milton Keynes, including Lynsey and Alyssia (pictured) are taking part in the pageant which will feature 30 dancers from Arts1 and 50 flag bearers who will carry silk flags made by Kinetika.
Thirty of the flags were originally designed for IF: Milton Keynes International Festival with a further 20 designed during the Celebrate Milton Keynes event earlier this year. The flags represent the themes that were drawn out of Milton Keynes’ bid for City Status highlighting its green spaces, its diversity and its community spirit.
The process of collecting the designs, developing the flags & key worker scrolls involved local artists and the project is being produced by The Stables supported by Arts Council England, Milton Keynes Council and centre:mk.
