"Blooming Marvels... seems to have already closed in advance of the end of the consultation"
Eight day centres for adults with learning disabilities could close their doors following a consultation from Derbyshire County Council.
Newhall Day Centre in Swadlincote and the Blooming Marvels Garden Centre next door is one of those centres.
The families and carers of the service users have criticised the consultation as a "foregone conclusion" after it appeared the county council had closed the garden centre.
A Derbyshire County Council spokesperson said: 鈥淭he Blooming Marvels garden centre, which is part of the Newhall Day Centre, is not closed.

鈥淗owever, we currently have no-one with learning disabilities who wishes to use this service so staff have been temporarily re-deployed to work within the day centre itself."
