Weymouth woman pays tribute to Dorset charity Weldmar Hospicecare's 'At Home' service
A Dorset charity - which provides end-of-life care in patients' own homes for up to 24 hours a day - is fundraising to expand the service.
Weldmar Hospicecare launched 'Weldmar at Home' last summer, in response to the number of people wanting to spend their final days in their own surroundings. It's funded entirely by charitable donations.
Ten months on, Weldmar's now appealing for donations so they can care for more patients at home.
Thelma Green from Weymouth has first-hand experience of the service, after her partner Mervyn received care at home before passing away last August.
