“It’s a setting for a movie… people cannot live in such a beautiful placeâ€
Over the last few months we've heard from a Belper woman who's been desperately trying to get a couple who fled Ukraine to come and live with her and her wife. Sarah Barley McMullen wanted it to be a same-sex couple to help shine a spotlight on LGBT refugees.
Shortly after speaking to ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Derby, Sarah was put in put in touch with Yulia and Tetiana. They're translators - one is Russian, one is Ukrainian. It took weeks and weeks but they're now safe in Belper.
Tetiana spoke to Twiggy about her new home.
