The busy season continues with World Refugee Week, Windrush Day and reflection on PRIDE.
We hear reflections on the SOUL Lounge event, held at the Hive community centre in Ipswich. The event was a safe and welcoming Pride get together for young LGBTQ+ people of colour to connect and support each other. Acoustic music set from Esme Emerson, song and words from Tiyah Jean , Leyla Mohamed El-Henawy. There were also Stalls and food and conversations and love.
Suffolk Pride gets a shout out for their huge successes at the weekend, with Elias shares his passion for drag.
It is World Refugee Week and we hear a variety of voices from our region, sharing their experiences as well as heading up to an event in Whitton Unity Centre, to hear from Ellie Cracknell, who organised the event along with Fresh Start New Beginnings. Cad caught up with some of the women who attended the wellbeing day.
And West Suffolk College had a successful Equity, Diversity and Inclusion event and we hear all about it!
