Nigeria church attack: My father had to 'play dead'
Franklin and Olamide's families had gone to worship at St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, south-western Nigeria, on Sunday when armed men entered the church and started shooting and setting off dynamite at the congregation. Franklin says his father who was near the entrance of the church as the gunmen burst in luckily dodged the bullets and survived by "playing dead". His sister, brother and mother narrowly escaped through a fence at the sacristy end of the church. His cousin was not so fortunate and was injured by an explosion from dynamite.
Olamide's cousin was shot in the back and is in hospital undergoing operation. "I feel really sad...the Owo people are scared" he says.
