"We're just forming what would be a normal brother and sister relationship"
Life can throw up many surprises but perhaps none more so than the one David McBride and Helen Ward encountered. Abandoned as babies, 6 years apart, on either side of the Irish border back in the 1960's - both set out, separately, as adults to find out more about the woman who gave them up. David and Helen weren't aware of each other's existence and little did they know they were searching for the same birth mother and, as it turned out, the same birth father. Helen and David were finally brought together on the ITV show, Long Lost Family', eventually learning more about their background and - some time later - the revelation that they had a third full sibling. Two years on from meeting for the first time, David and Helen speak to Chris Buckler and Sarah Brett about their remarkable story and about building a unique relationship with each other & their brother John after decades apart.
