When she's not adding gems to J-Lo's nails, Eri Ishizu is adding pom-poms to Lizzo's.
Eri Ishizu is the nail stylist responsible for making J-Lo鈥檚 nails look like pieces of art - and we're not exaggerating. When she's not applying crystals to J-Lo鈥檚 tips, she鈥檚 likely to be tie-dying, drawing animal print or attaching pom-poms to the nails of Lizzo, Mulatto or Charli XCX. Over Zoom, we spent time talking about doing J-Lo's nails for Joe Biden's inauguration and what it meant to Eri as an immigrant woman. We also chatted Lizzo鈥檚 words of wisdom, nail sessions that take three hours, and how a teenage obsession with the film Maid in Manhattan massively influenced Eri鈥檚 career.
