Leicester scientist develops James Webb Space Telescope
The first full-colour images from the new James Webb Space Telescope has been released, showing what's believed to be the deepest and most detailed view of the universe.
The telescope is the most powerful to be launched into space and researchers from the University of Leicester have worked on it.
Its picture contains light from galaxies that has taken many billion years to reach ours.
Martin Barstow from the University of Leicester has been involved in the development of the programme
