Rob Freckleton's son Oliver was stabbed to death in Burton last year, one day before his 20th birthday.
He says that since Oliver's death he's not seen the kind of change he would like to see when it comes to tackling violent crime, especially amongst young people, which he says is becoming a daily event.
Staffordshire Police say they're increasing patrols in hot-spot areas and working with partners to monitor the sale of knives to vulnerable people and children. The MP for Burton, Kate Griffiths, says she's committed to solving the problem.
