Smithfield was one of the main venues at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. It hosted the beach volleyball and the basketball 3 on 3. Birmingham City Council and developers Lendlease are already working on a 拢1.9 billion regeneration of the site - which includes a landscaped park.

But, Jim Tucker has started a petition, and the community campaign group CityPark4Brum, because he wants that park to be even bigger.
