First Ospreys hatched at Belvoir Castle in centuries.
The first osprey chicks have hatched in the vale of Belvoir for nearly 200 years!
At one point the birds of prey were believed to be extinct in the UK, but breeding projects have helped numbers recover, including nearby Rutland Water.
It's largely thanks to the drive of one local bird lover. Simon Curtin worked with conservation staff, Western Power and Rutland Water Osprey project to build nests, 10 meters off the ground, with twigs a meter long.
Helen McCarthy went to meet him.
