The energy bills plan

Extra support to limit the rise in energy bills has been announced by Prime Minister Liz Truss.

The Prime Minister, Liz Truss, has set out plans to limit energy bill rises for all households for two years. A typical household bill will now be capped at 拢2,500 annually until 2024. Businesses will also get help, with prices capped for six months.

The huge support scheme could cost up to 拢150 billion. But there are concerns the measures are not targeted enough, with no additional support for the most vulnerable.
