Windsor Horse Show was a favourite of the Queen's
Royal Windsor Horse Show was first staged in 1943 to help raise funds for the War effort. It has continued to run every year since, celebrating 75 years in 2018. At the first show Queen Elizabeth II, then Princess Elizabeth, won the Pony and Dogcart class and has enjoyed the event in her back garden ever since. Simon Brookes-Ward, the Show Director, remembers her and her love for the show.
