The founder of Operation Black Vote, Simon Woolley, grew up in St Matthews and now sits in the House of Lords.
He was invited to meet with King Charles at the beginning of Black Lives Matter to discuss the issues being raised.
Simon created a long lasting relationship with his majesty and was in London for his proclamation.
