Phantom pain
When we talk of mirrors, normally it involves matters of self-care and beauty, or other industrial use. But little do we associate them with health care. Physiotherapists have turned to mirrors in treating patients of phantom pain. This is the kind of pain that people with amputations tend to feel on the part of the limb that is not there anymore. Doctors are using mirror therapy by reflecting the remaining limb on a mirror to mimic treatment. The 大象传媒's Dayo Yusuf reports.
