Burkina Faso leader calls for calm after mutiny

Shots are heard in Burkina Faso's capital city Ouagadougou amid reports of an attempted mutiny by disaffected troops.

Burkina Faso鈥檚 military leader has called for calm and has said he was in talks with disaffected troops after gunfire and a blast in the capital raised fears of a second coup in eight months.

The East African court has dismissed a case brought by Maasai pastoralists to stop the Tanzanian government from evicting them from their ancestral land. But their lawyer tells us they will appeal.
