The manager of the fishery Tom Lawrie says the noise of HS2 is putting off anglers. High Speed Rail is currently being constructed nearby. HS2 Ltd says it has regular contact with the owners of Lavender Hall Fishery, and some contractors use the fishery to buy breakfast. The firm says it always hand-delivers notifications to the business when there are things happening nearby, and listens to concerns. A statement says: "When we do have to close Lavender Hall Lane, we always maintain their access. We have reduced the vegetation area to be cleared around the Fishery considerably, maintaining the outlook from the lakes."
