"I think they're crazy."
The Chief Constable of Essex Police, BJ Harrington, condemns the actions of protestors who've climbed the QEII bridge and suspended themselves from cables near the top of one of the towers.
Two people from Just Stop Oil climbed the bridge in the early hours of Monday 17 October, pledging to stay put until the Government rules out new oil and gas extraction in the UK.
The protest group says it expects the bridge to remain closed for at least 24 hours.
The Chief Constable also talks to 大象传媒 Essex's Ben Fryer to give his reaction to a report from His Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Service (HMICFRS) which shows Essex Police were good with engaging with the public, use of resources and a good supportive workplace, but not responding to non emergency calls "requires improvement".
