Voters across the US are heading to the polls to vote in the midterm elections. You might have heard politicians from both the main political parties talking about why the stakes are so high this time around. Some have even said voting in this election is the only way to 'defend democracy'.
But what are the midterms? Who is on the ballot and how might the results impact all of us around the world?
