Motorists say they face delays up to an hour and a half to get through the Sadlers Farm roundabout.
A burst water main at Sadlers Farm has caused disruption for the third time.
大象传媒 Essex's Sonia Watson spoke to Independent Ward councillor for St George's Ward, Steven Cole.
Essex and Suffolk water issued a statement:
鈥淥ur team will be working through the night to repair the water pipe that burst close to the carriageway at Sadler鈥檚 Farm roundabout. This will allow all lanes to be open in time for the morning rush hour.
鈥淔or safety reasons, we expect to re-close one lane once rush hour is over, to allow us to safely continue work, refilling the hole and restoring the surface where we have had to dig.
鈥淲e are aware of the disruption it can cause when there is a burst in or close to a road such as this, and that it can be frustrating for motorists to experience it happening again. We are sorry for that impact and disruption. However, we always do everything we can to minimise disruption, while still working in a way that prioritises the safety of our teams and motorists.
鈥淲e continually monitor our network. Knowledge of such bursts feeds into our investment and maintenance plans and we will continue to assess the situation in this location, as we do across the whole of our operating area.鈥
