Family left traumatised after having puppy put down... 5 days after buying it.
A Colchester woman bought a puppy advertised on Gumtree and five days later she had to put the puppy down.
She was told that the puppy was very young, around six weeks old and had Parvo, a diarrhoea and vomiting virus which can be deadly for puppies
´óÏó´«Ã½ Essex's Sonia Watson spoke to Niamh, who bought the puppy, Amy Ockleford from the RSPCA and Bill Lambert, Health, Welfare and Breeder Services executive from Kennel Club.
The classified ad website says it takes "animal welfare extremely seriously" and people using the site should report any suspicions about sellers so it can investigate.
