Thurrock second-worst area in UK for number of GPs
Thurrock has been identified as the second-worst area in the whole country for the number of GPs.
Thurrock has 40 GPs per 100,000 people, second only to Portsmouth. At the other end of the scale, the Wirral area has 80 GPs per 100,000 people.
