Where did the ´óÏó´«Ã½â€™s nickname - ‘Auntie’ - come from?
Have you ever heard of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ being referred to as ‘Auntie’, ‘Aunt Beebs’ or ‘Auntie B’?
To mark 100 years since the ´óÏó´«Ã½ started daily radio broadcasts, Emma Barnett was joined on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour by television presenter and comedian Mel Giedroyc and ´óÏó´«Ã½ Historian Professor Jean Seaton. They explained a bit about why the ´óÏó´«Ã½ got this nickname and commented on what kind of aunt she would be.
