Christopher Samuel has a neuromusular disease called Charcot-Marie-Tooth, an inherited condition that causes damage to the nerves, and has left him unable to walk.

Christopher's disability meant he spent a lot of time in hospital over a period of several years, and it led him into a downward spiral of depression. He said: I was searching for something but I didn't know what, but I just knew that I wanted to do more with my life."

He studied Fine Art and was the first person in his family to graduate. He has since established his own studio in Leicester and he now dedicates his time giving back to the community through his passion for art.

He also travels nationally and internationally showcasing his work. 鈥淢y whole life as someone with a disability, society told me I couldn鈥檛 do things, and society has had limited expectations of me, but I've proven them wrong," says Christopher.
