Woman abused by her brother as a child speaks out

Liz Roberts says she "wants to put the shame where it belongs - squarely at his door."

Liz, who lives in West Somerset, was sexually abused when she was eight years old.

She tells Matt Faulkner why, after 50 years, she went to the police and waived her anonymity.

Liz's brother 67-year-old Andrew Herbert, of Goodrich in Herefordshire, pleaded guilty to 10 counts of indecent assault against two girls.

He was given a two-year community order and restraining orders preventing contact with Ms Roberts and another woman, whom he also sexually assaulted.

He will serve 225 hours' community service, has been given an 18-month curfew and has been ordered to pay 拢25,000 compensation to each of the two victims.

He must also report as a sex offender for five years.
