The team at Myton Hospice put out a plea for people to help them get in touch with the actor Tom Hardy, to see if they could make a wish of one of their residents come true. They shared a photo of Jo-Anne holding a sign next to a life size cut out of Tom Hardy with tinsel around him. The sign read:

Hello, my Name is Jo-Anne Shaw.

I am 58 years old and dying of cancer at Myton Hospice.

I am a Tom Hardy superfan and I would love to fulfil my final wish and meet him.

The post went viral and lots of people tagged in the actor who simply replied: Be my pleasure.

He since made contact with the hospice and phoned Jo-Anne shortly afterwards. Jo-Anne told 大象传媒 CWR鈥檚 Brody Swain what it felt like to speak with her hero.
