Teleneurology in Zambia
According to the World Health Organization, 70% of the global burden of neurological diseases is in low- and middle-income countries; yet the same countries have the smallest number of specialists to treat these diseases. To address the glaring gap in this sector, Zambia has embraced the use of teleneurology to bridge the gap between the few neurologists located in Lusaka and patients living far away from the capital.
