'I fear for my life' as a woman in Afghanistan
A top UN official believes progress is being made towards reversing bans on women taking part in public life in Afghanistan. Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed travelled to Kabul for a four-day visit to urge the Taliban to reconsider.
Three women currently living in Afghanistan; one, Zainab, a student, and two, Mayam and Zalla, who have recently graduated from university, explain how their lives have changed over the past few years. One of them tells us she hasn鈥檛 left her house for a month out of fears for her safety.
Their names have been changed to protect their identities.
