'It was the greatest day of my life'

In 2005, Leicester's Jayant Mistry and his French tennis partner Michael Jeremiasz claimed victory in the final of Wimbledon's wheelchair tennis event.

The pair defeated Australian David Hall and Martin Legner of Austria 4-6 6-3 7-6 in a thrilling encounter.

In a hugely successful professional career, Jayant has won 68 international titles, 48 in doubles and 20 in singles. He also won a second grand slam title at the Australian Open and represented Great Britain in four Paralympics.

Jayant was born with Spina Bifida, but despite this he always loved playing sport and in particular tennis from an early age.

He explains to Kelly HInch why he considers that match at Wimbledon in 2005 the greatest day of his life.
