The One with Campbell Johnstone

The former New Zealand prop talks about his career, coming out and making history.

It’s been less than a month since Campbell Johnstone made a little bit of history.

The former New Zealand international opened up about his sexuality in an interview with TVNZ, becoming the first All Black to come out as gay.

It was a decision that brought worldwide attention to the ex-Canterbury and Crusaders player – and now, he’s joining us on the podcast to tell us more about that decision, and what life has been like since.

We chat about getting into rugby; applying himself to reach the top-level; getting that All Blacks call-up; understanding his sexuality and trusting people in rugby with his story – and loads, loads more.

It’s a brilliant conversation that we were privileged to have, and we think you’ll love it.
