Celebrating Dick King-Smith
Are you a fan of the author Dick King-Smith? The south-Gloucestershire born author wrote more than 100 children's books during his career.
He became best known for The Sheep-Pig, published in 1983, which was later adapted into the film Babe.
Now a special event celebrating his life and legacy is to take place at Gloucester Cathedal.It takes place on Saturday 11th Marc and activities throughout the day will pay tribute to the beloved children's author and his literary heritage. And it will be hosted by his family, to mark the end of the centenary year of Dick King-Smith's birth.
Jon Smith spoke to one member of the family that will be taking part, that's his great-granddaughter Josie Rogers.
