Trump indictment 'a witch hunt' says a supporter

As former US President Donald Trump prepares to attend a Manhattan court to face criminal charges over his alleged role in hush money payments to adult TV star Stormy Daniels, one of his supporters says "the justice system is being abused to support what many have called a witch hunt." The Chairman of the New York State Young Republicans, Peter Giunta said "some elected democrats have presumed guilt here without giving Trump the ability to make his case". The exact charges Trump faces are to be disclosed in full at the scheduled hearing, at around 14:15 local time. Mr Trump, who will become the first ex-president to face criminal charges in the US, strongly denies any wrongdoing.
