'Leaving the military family is very hard when it's all that you've known'
For many 'blue light' workers there is a chance you get put through every human emotion during a shift.
This week sees the launch of Leicestershire charity 'The Blue Light Card Foundation', offering its help to NHS staff, armed forces, emergency services and social care workers.
It comes as research from the charity found that 90% of the 'blue light' community reported that their job has negatively impacted their wellbeing. Furthermore, 62% have considered leaving their job because of how much it impacted their wellbeing day-to-day.
The 'Blue Light Card Foundation' exists to bridge this gap, ensuring that members have access to organisations and projects that can support their wellbeing.
Naomi Adie is General Manager of The Blue Light Foundation. She's also an RAF veteran and tells Summaya her story, and how the charity offers support.
