'People are very generous - we've raised almost 拢3,500'
A Leicester man with a terminal brain tumour is to run the London Marathon to raise money for a charity which researches the disease.
John Waters was diagnosed in 2016 and given three to six months to live. Seven years later John is running the London Marathon for the first time. The 59-year-old from Syston will be joined on the run by his wife Rachel.
They had hoped to raise 拢2,500 for The Brain Tumour Charity but have smashed their target and are on course for 拢3,500. John became an ambassador for the charity and he and his family have completed numerous fundraising events to raise money and awareness.
Reporter Sara Palmer went out to Watermead Park to meet up with them on their last training run before the Marathon on Sunday.
