Toronto Airport C$20 million gold heist: police investigating
Thieves have made off with more than 20 million Canadian dollars ($15 million) worth of gold and cash in a heist at Toronto international airport. Police are at a loss as to who the culprits are and where the gold might be headed. Brian Lilley, a columnist for the Toronto Sun newspaper who broke the story says there are always armed guards surrounding the transport of such valuable goods, but the authorities have no idea what happened to the five or six foot square freight box that disappeared after it went from a plane to the cargo holding warehouse at the airport.
