Shropshire sailor describes South Atlantic rescue
Oswestry's Ian Herbert Jones is back on dry land after being rescued from his damaged yacht. He was taking part in the Golden Globe round the world race when he got caught up in a powerful storm in the South Atlantic.
He was facing seven-metre-high waves and winds of up to 100 miles per hour. Ian was eventually rescued by a Taiwanese fishing boat, which dropped him off in Cape Town last week. He spoke to 大象传媒 Radio Shropshire's Adam Green from there.
